We went to Zihuatanejo
on our first date in 1978. Back then it was a sleepy fishing village,
where
you could lie on the beach all day under a palapa. You could take a occasional
plunge in the gentle surf, sip a
piña colada, dine on the freshest fish,
and
take a nighttime stroll under more stars than you could ever dream up.
Zihuatanejo has kept all of its old
world charm and remains one of the most beautiful beaches and bays in the
world. And Playa La Ropa is one of the most swimmable beaches in Mexico.
The Greek Isles, the Amalfi Coast, even the South Pacific Islands have little more to offer.
We have traveled a lot since then,
but Zihuatanejo is the place we always go back to,
and finally in 2006 we satisfied a lifelong dream to build and design a place to share with others.
Our perfect beach hideaway at Casa Que Ve al Mar captures and respects the talents
of local artisans as well as harmonizing with the natural terrain.
We scoured the Central Mexican highlands for art and handmade
furniture
to embellish the interiors and
kept the living room and bedroom walls as wide open as possible to the
outside in.

Our secret place is a two bedroom,
two bath Zihuatanejo luxury vacation rental condo, a 5 minute walk from La Ropa beach, with
unstoppable views of the mouth of Zihuatanejo Bay and the Pacific beyond.
Okay, call us crazy, but in 2012 we have invested in another gorgeous completely different villa that is for sale or rent. C'est la Vie at Ensueño 10.

Ron & Harriet
